| HawkWatch International is a terrific group which promotes the safety of raptors and helps to calculate their health by counting them during their migration. We had an educator come and bring Cree the Red Tailed Hawk to teach the children about raptors, and the dangers that threaten these animals especially during migration. After our discussion time with her we sat down and made posters to be hung around Albuquerque to help promote the work of HawkWatch and to point out ways we can each help prevent the needless deaths of these majestic birds. |
